The beauty of Mexico is worldwide famous. We’ve all heard about or experienced the vibrant culture and energy of Mexico City, the calm of San Miguel de Allende, or the healing powers of Mexican beaches.
My name is Al Becker, and since 2001, I have had the privilege of operating Ambra Mexico, a real estate development company that has helped transform the city, specializing in neighborhoods like the iconic Roma, Condesa, Escandón, and Polanco. Working alongside great architects and highly passionate professionals, I have encountered firsthand the complexities of the city, the red tape involved, and other issues that can make one’s head twirl.
Walking alongside my expat clients, I have worked around all their needs in order to nest in Mexico City, whether it's for one or two years, or to become a permanent resident. All this love and great architecture has given me a unique insight. I have been marveled by how expats and digital nomads, doing things the right way and in consideration of our local communities, broaden our culture and enrich our way of life.
However, I've noticed a recurring problem: Moving here isn't always smooth, and doing this alone can honestly become overbearing. People come with great expectations, but living day to day in a foreign city has proved to be complex. It's complicated to enjoy the local lifestyle and culture while dealing with utilities, health insurance, or even a simple Wi-Fi connection.
That is why I decided to create Kite®: to help this important part of our community do things the right way, add value to the local culture, and Land Softly the first time around. I didn't want to build just another relocation company; I wanted to build a bridge. I want you to avoid uncomfortable processes and frustrating red tape. Once you arrive in Mexico City, I want you to truly be able to say: "I’m here the right way, and I can live freely like a local."
